Due to Dennis Rodman’s suspensions and injuries, Jason Caffey saw an increase in playing time down the stretch of the 1996-97 NBA season. Once Dennis came down hobbling after a rebound on March, the 25th against Mavericks, he was rested for the remaining part of the regular season. Caffey finished the year starting as the power forward and averaging 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. For him, an athletic, fast and young sophomore, it was quite the position to be in. Just finish off plays after great passes and even let Michael create a few assists for you. April 14, 1997.
