Antawn Jamison (51pts/13rebs) vs. Lakers (2000)

I bet you all know this game – the good old Jamison vs. Kobe 51-point night. Antawn had done it the previous time as well, so he became the first player to score 50 in back-to-back games since Jordan did it in ’88. What I love about his performance is that Jamison did this by only taking 29 shots (made 21 of them) and that there’s no sense of urgency. He utilizes every pass from guards like Mookie Blaylock to perfection, he makes his open jumpshots and finds good shots off post moves. There are only few clips of him forcing it and going on tough one on one drives. AND you can’t forget that he also brought down 13 rebounds. A great night for the Golden State fans who had to go through a tough 2000-01 season (how about starting rookie Chris Porter) and a night that has its place in NBA history as the surname “Jamison” does seem a bit out of place along Iverson, Bryant, Jordan, Chamberlain, Barry and whoever else who has scored 50 two times in a row.
