Drazen’s third highest-scoring performance in the NBA and at that point his career high. His Nets were facing a 19-point deficit in the third quarter before Petrovic finally got involved in the offense and sparked a comeback which eventually resulted in a two-point win over Boston. His fast release and feel on how to evade and trick Reggie Lewis off screens is impeccable in this game.
It’s too bad that the broadcast over-focused on a not that particularly important replay and we missed out on Petrovic’s 36th and 37th point, which made Jim Spanarkel gasp and exclaim that he had a hand right in his face. That being so, the rest of Drazen’s 17/26 FG performance is here. March 13, 1992.
